'We Are With You': US Intel Chief Tulsi Gabbard Backs India After Deadly Pahalgam Terror Attack

US Intelligence Chief Tulsi Gabbard has extended full support to India after the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 Hindu civilians. She condemned the brutal assault and posted on X expressing her deep sorrow. Gabbard said the United States stands behind India and supports its right to punish the perpetrators. 

The Director of National Intelligence stated, “We stand in solidarity with India in the wake of the horrific Islamist terrorist attack, targetting and killing 26 Hindus in Pahalgam.”

“My prayers and deepest sympathies are with those who lost a loved one, PM @narendramodi, and with all the people of India. We are with you and support you as you hunt down those responsible for this heinous attack.” 

Her post received wide support from Indian officials and global leaders.

India Responds With Diplomatic And Military Actions

India has already begun a strong diplomatic response to the attack. The government suspended the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme for Pakistani nationals and closed the Integrated Check Post at Attari. They also reduced the number of Pakistani officers in high commissions and halted the Indus Waters Treaty. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met with foreign diplomats to discuss further cooperation. Prime Minister Modi said terrorists and their handlers will be hunted down and punished. He said India will not tolerate any further attacks and promised a decisive crackdown on all terror outfits. The government has increased military vigilance in sensitive regions as intelligence teams trace the attackers' links.
