WNBA star Angel Reese is firing back at NFL veteran Robert Griffin III (RGIII) after he accused her of harboring hate toward Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark. The Chicago Sky forward addressed the controversial allegations that emerged after RGIII took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on July 10 with claims that quickly sparked backlash.
In his post, RGIII alleged that Reese had shared content that led to threats against his wife, children, and friends. He also claimed that Reese’s supposed “hatred” toward Clark stemmed from constant media comparisons between the two players, adding, “Some people made it about race, but I never did and never will.” Griffin framed his comments as an attempt to step away from negativity, saying, “Instead of becoming the villain in anyone’s story, I decided to just not.”
Reese Responds: “Nasty Work”
Reese didn’t hold back in her response. Though she didn’t tag RGIII directly, she strongly hinted at his post in a fiery tweet:
“Lying on this app when everybody know the first and last name of everybody in my circle for clout is nastyyyy work.” Her words made it clear she was not amused by the narrative being pushed.
RGIII responded with another post, saying, “They calling me and saying you hate Caitlin Clark, not the other way around,” and advised Reese to “tighten up” her inner circle.
This isn’t the first time RGIII has commented on the alleged Reese-Clark rivalry. Back in May 2025, he claimed tensions extended off the court, though Clark publicly downplayed that idea. “Let’s not make it anything that it’s not,” Clark told reporters after a hard-fought game against the Sky.
As of now, Clark has not responded to RGIII’s latest remarks, and Reese is standing her ground, refusing to let the narrative go unchecked.
