DDG Files Legal Motion to Stop Halle Bailey’s Italy Trip, Sparking Custody Dispute

Rapper and YouTuber DDG has taken legal action in an effort to prevent actress and singer Halle Bailey from taking their infant son, Halo, on an international trip to Italy. According to court documents DDG filed an emergency motion citing serious concerns for their child’s psychological and emotional well-being if the trip proceeds.

In a signed declaration included in his legal filing, DDG recounted a troubling incident from August 2023. He claimed that during a heated argument, Halle allegedly became emotionally unstable, threatened to end her life, and left the home with his legally owned firearm without his permission. The rapper described the moment as “particularly volatile” and characterized it as a reflection of repeated behaviors he deems harmful to both Halle and their son.

“This incident was one of several in which petitioner’s actions posed a serious threat to her own safety and the safety of our son by creating an environment of emotional distress and danger within the home,” DDG stated.

Allegations and Response Spark Public Tension

DDG went further to deny any accusations of abuse made by Halle Bailey. He instead accused her of physical aggression, including slapping and punching him, and claimed she used Apple AirTags to monitor his movements by planting them in his car. He also alleged that she had made multiple suicidal threats during past arguments.

His attorney, Larry Bakman, emphasized the gravity of the situation in court: “A parent who has threatened suicide repeatedly, armed herself while in emotional crisis, and driven with the child while in a potentially suicidal state, cannot be trusted to take an infant overseas.”

In response to the serious accusations, Halle Bailey’s legal representative, Terry Levich Ross, refuted the claims during a court hearing on Wednesday, stating that DDG’s allegations are “not accurate.”

The custody case continues to unfold, with both parties presenting conflicting narratives.
