Kanye West Asks Trump to Pardon Diddy Amid Sex Trafficking Charges Ahead of Trial

As Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs faces serious sex trafficking and abuse charges, Kanye West is using his high-profile relationship with former President Donald Trump to rally support for his friend. The 24-time Grammy-winning rapper took to social media on Thursday, calling for Trump to pardon Combs before his trial begins on May 5.

Diddy, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges, is currently in jail after being denied bail three times. West, known for his outspoken and controversial statements, urged Trump to "FREE PUFF," referencing Combs' popular nickname.

In a passionate social media post, West appealed directly to Trump, saying, “@realDonaldTrump PLEASE FREE MY BROTHER PUFF,” showing his unwavering support.

West also voiced his frustration with the lack of public support for Combs, criticizing other celebrities who have remained silent. “WATCH OUR BROTHER ROT AND NEVER SAY S,” he wrote. West continued, referencing Chris Brown's controversial past, “WE ALL WATCHED TAKE CHRIS BROWN AND AINT NOBODY DO NOTHING I WAS P  THEN TOO CHRIS BROWN ITS TO THE WHEELS FALL OFF.” His comments came shortly after Trump’s decision to pardon nearly 1,500 individuals involved in the January 6th Capitol riot on the first day of his second term.

Combs was arrested on September 16 in a New York hotel lobby and faces charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals to engage in prostitution. He has been denied bail multiple times and is preparing for a high-stakes trial. If convicted, he could face life in prison.

In addition to these charges, Combs is fighting numerous sexual assault cases in both federal and state courts, with multiple victims, including minors, claiming he sexually abused them. Among these is a highly publicized case involving Jay-Z as a co-defendant. As Combs’ legal battles continue, West’s vocal support adds to the ongoing controversy surrounding the music mogul.
