Nicki Minaj is once again making headlines for her unfiltered commentary this time reigniting a feud with fellow artist SZA. On July 15, the Pink Friday 2 rapper unleashed a series of harsh tweets targeting the SOS singer, accusing her of being irrelevant, manufactured, and even unhygienic.
“Wait. Does SZA think she’s more successful than me? LOL. Y’all catch me up please,” Minaj posted on X. “SZA, if every song you’ve ever made disappeared, the music industry wouldn't miss a beat.”
She went on to compare tour venues, questioning if SZA has ever headlined stadiums filled with 80,000 fans, as Minaj claims to have done during her international tour.
Minaj didn’t stop there. She criticized SZA’s vocal abilities, calling her use of auto-tune “yodeling” and mocked her for allegedly being passive in the face of executive bullying. The Queens-born rapper even claimed that SZA’s streaming success is inflated by bots, writing, “These botted numbers got y’all losing your damn minds.”
Minaj's Explosive Livestream Rant
Minaj continued her tirade on her Stationhead livestream.
“I don’t know a single one of your songs,” she said bluntly, calling SZA “MZA” mockingly. “I don’t body shame, but I truly can’t tell if you’re fat, skinny, or what. I might need Dr. Now to figure that out.”
She also referenced old tweets allegedly made by SZA that criticized Rihanna, Beyoncé, and Ciara. “Instead of uplifting Black women, you were tearing them down,” Minaj said. “You always wanted to be part of the in crowd, but never made it.”
SZA has previously spoken about her plastic surgery journey, including a BBL and breast implants, both of which she’s since reflected on publicly, admitting that the procedures left her feeling uncertain about her choices.
