Earlier this week, hip-hop fans were caught in the crossfire of a fiery social media spat when rap icon Nicki Minaj took to X (formerly Twitter) to slam Top Dawg Entertainment president Terrence "Punch" Henderson. According to Minaj, Punch had allegedly attempted to propose a business deal, which she declined. Following that rejection, she claims he began spreading lies and bullying her behind the scenes.
Nicki’s response was anything but subtle. As tensions escalated, singer SZA appeared to enter the conversation with a cryptic message online, stating she wouldn't "take the bait." Minaj perceived this as subliminal shade and quickly launched into an explosive series of tweets targeting SZA directly.
Nicki Minaj vs. SZA: Social Media Feud Escalates
Nicki's tweets took a sharp personal turn, attacking SZA's looks and even her hygiene. “Go draw your freckles back on bookie,” she snapped. “Liar liar pants on fire. Sounding like a f**king dead dog…” She continued with more harsh words, labeling the Grammy-winning singer “ugly,” “dirty,” and “musty.”
SZA, known for her calm demeanor, didn’t seem rattled by the insults. She responded with a nonchalant clapback: “I don't give a fck bout none of that weird sht you popping. Lmao lemme go back to being calm shy and meek. Y’all have a blessed night! See you tomorrow for night 2 Paris!!”
But Nicki wasn’t done. She kept her online tirade going the following day. In a shocking revelation, Minaj claimed she was originally supposed to feature on Drake’s 2023 hit “Rich Baby Daddy” alongside Sexyy Red a spot that ultimately went to SZA. Nicki alleged she turned it down to save a more meaningful collaboration with Drake for her own project, Pink Friday 2.
Mocking SZA again, Minaj added, “That silly goose still out here shaking dat a** for Drake every day. After swallowing his balls. Allegedly.”
The drama continues to unfold as fans take sides and receipts are flying.
