Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Denied Bail After Partial Guilty Verdict in Sex‑Trafficking Case

Sean “Diddy” Combs will remain behind bars until his sentencing, following a U.S. judge’s decision on Wednesday to deny his bail application. The ruling came in the wake of a mixed verdict that found the music mogul guilty on two prostitution-related charges but cleared him of more severe accusations, including sex trafficking and racketeering.

As he was escorted out of the courtroom, Combs addressed his loved ones, saying, “I’ll see you when I get out. We’re going to get through this,” offering a brief moment of reassurance to his mother and children in attendance.

Diddy Facing Prison Time After Conviction

The 55-year-old mogul was convicted of organizing interstate travel for sexual purposes charges stemming from evidence that he transported former partners and male sex workers across state lines for drug-fueled sex parties. The two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution each carry a maximum of 10 years in prison. However, the jury cleared him of three other charges, two of which would have carried mandatory minimums of 15 years and potentially life in prison.

Defense attorney Marc Agnifilo expressed cautious optimism, stating,

“We fight on and we’re going to win. We won’t stop until he walks out of prison a free man.”

He suggested Combs could face as little as two years, given the nature of the remaining convictions and his lack of prior criminal history.

Prosecutors disagreed. They cited past violent behavior and disturbing witness accounts during the eight-week trial as justification for a harsher sentence. According to their estimates, sentencing guidelines suggest a minimum of four to five years behind bars.

Combs will remain in custody at the Brooklyn federal detention facility where he has been held since his arrest in September 2024, as both sides prepare for the formal sentencing hearing scheduled for October.
