Suge Knight Urges Diddy to Testify in Court to ‘Humanize’ Himself Amid Explosive Allegations

Marion “Suge” Knight, the imprisoned former CEO of Death Row Records, has weighed in on the mounting legal troubles of his long-time industry rival, Sean “Diddy” Combs. Speaking from behind bars, Knight urged the embattled hip-hop mogul to take the witness stand in his own defense, saying it could be the only way to “humanize” himself and potentially sway the jury in his favor.

Now 60, Knight remains incarcerated following a 28-year sentence tied to a 2015 hit-and-run case. Despite their turbulent past, he offered advice to Combs, 55, who is currently facing a slew of federal charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transporting individuals for prostitution. Combs, who has denied all accusations, was arrested in September 2024 following a lengthy investigation that spans incidents allegedly committed over two decades.

Knight Urges Combs to “Face the Music” in Court

In a recent phone interview with CNN, Knight expressed that taking the stand might be Combs’ only real chance to connect with jurors.

“If Puffy goes up there and says, ‘I did the drugs, I lost control’—he can show them he’s human,” Knight explained. “He might just get a shot at redemption.”

He further criticized the notion of Combs remaining silent, suggesting it could come across as avoidance or fear. “If he just sits there, it looks like he’s scared. He needs to put his faith in God and face the music,” Knight said.

Meanwhile, Combs' former assistant, known as “Mia,” has delivered shocking testimony in court, alleging years of sexual abuse and disturbing post-party cleanup duties involving “freak-offs” that left hotel rooms in disarray. Her account has intensified the already high-profile trial, which is expected to run through early July.

Despite the rivalry, Knight insisted, “Diddy should definitely walk free if he tells the truth.”
