Elon Musk Admits Regret Over Harsh Social Media Attacks On President Trump

Elon Musk has said he regrets some of the posts he made about President Trump after their very public feud on social media. Musk posted the message on his platform X where he admitted his comments went too far.

“They went too far,” Musk wrote on his social media platform X.

Their fallout began when Musk criticized Trump’s tax bill and described it as a disgusting abomination. Musk stepped away from his White House role and started urging Americans to stop the bill by calling their representatives. He claimed the bill would trigger a recession later in the year.

Trump fired back in interviews and said Musk had lost his mind and warned that government contracts worth billions could be in danger. Musk also accused Trump of appearing in sealed files related to Jeffrey Epstein but those claims were denied by the White House. This heated exchange led to Musk calling for Trump’s impeachment and posting critical messages online. Over the weekend Musk quietly deleted many of those posts including the impeachment comment.

Calls for Reconciliation Grow As Musk Deletes Trump Attacks

Trump said in an interview that there were no hard feelings and he was disappointed but open to moving forward. Musk was a major donor to Trump's 2024 campaign and was once seen as one of his closest allies. Former Trump aide Steve Bannon even called for Musk to be deported after the feud grew worse. Vice President JD Vance said he hopes Musk can return but admitted it would be difficult since Musk went nuclear. Most Republicans are now pushing for peace between the two while Democrats have remained silent.
