Elon Musk has launched a fierce personal attack on Trump’s presidential personnel chief Sergio Gor. Musk blamed Gor for persuading Trump to cancel the NASA nomination of Jared Isaacman. Isaacman is a personal friend of Musk and was set to be confirmed by the Senate.
“He’s a snake,” Musk posted on X, referring to Sergio Gor.
Gor reportedly raised concerns about Isaacman’s political donations to Democrats. That move turned Musk’s quiet frustration into open outrage. He later backed efforts to block a bill filled with Trump’s campaign promises and even urged voters to oppose it.
Musk was also Trump’s biggest financial supporter in the last election. He contributed over $250 million to Trump’s campaign and supported many of his early policy decisions.
GOR’S ACTIONS SPARK CHAOS IN TRUMP-MUSK RELATIONSHIP
The Isaacman issue reportedly caused the most serious rift between Musk and Trump. On June 5, Musk even endorsed Trump’s impeachment while Trump threatened to cancel contracts with Musk’s companies.
Trump and Musk have since tried to reduce tensions, but the scars remain. Musk’s new post calling Gor “a snake” reignited the issue once again.
Gor also faces questions about his own conduct. He never submitted his required background check form before taking the powerful vetting role. The form asks for personal details like birthplace, and Gor has refused to reveal his.
While claiming to be from Malta, officials from the Maltese government say he was not born there. The White House now says Gor has completed the form, but it’s still unclear when he will submit it.
Trump allies believe Gor’s actions were harmful to the president’s agenda. Some fear his personal grudges may have influenced official decisions that sparked avoidable chaos.
