Former White House Aide Admits Biden Team “Gaslighted” Public on President’s Age Concerns

A former White House aide has admitted that Joe Biden’s administration engaged in “gaslighting” by downplaying concerns over the president’s health and age. Michael LaRosa, a longtime press secretary for First Lady Jill Biden, acknowledged that officials knew early on that Biden’s age could be a major issue.

Speaking at a seminar at American University, LaRosa explained how the campaign manipulated public perception. 

“There are some things that are true, I mean, like the gaslighting,” he admitted. “There was a lot of denial of the polling. And I will use the term gaslighting because that’s what they were doing.”

LaRosa also revealed that the campaign team was terrified of allowing Biden to speak off the cuff. According to him, officials were “scared to death” of impromptu media interactions and took extreme precautions to control his messaging. Biden, known for his verbal missteps and moments of confusion, was shielded from unscripted events.

Throughout his presidency, Biden’s cognitive state became a topic of national debate. Concerns grew as he struggled with speeches, forgot key details, and relied heavily on teleprompters. Despite these concerns, the White House repeatedly assured Americans that Biden was in good health.

Ultimately, rising pressure over his mental state and poor polling numbers forced Biden to drop out of the 2024 race. His decision to endorse Kamala Harris further fueled speculation that the administration had been concealing deeper issues. LaRosa’s remarks have reignited discussions about government transparency and whether the American public was deliberately misled.
