Trump Casts Doubt on Ukraine’s Survival Amid Ongoing War with Russia

President Donald Trump suggested that Ukraine may not survive its war against Russia, regardless of whether the United States continues providing military aid. His remarks, made during a Fox News interview, have reignited concerns over America’s shifting stance on the conflict.

Trump’s comments came in response to a question about Polish President Andrzej Duda’s warning that Ukraine cannot win without US support. When asked whether he was comfortable with his decision to freeze military assistance, 

Trump responded, “Well, it may not survive anyway.”

The administration recently halted intelligence sharing and military aid to Ukraine after a failed natural resources deal between the two countries. Trump has demanded concessions from Zelensky, including a willingness to negotiate peace with Russia. Senior officials say Trump will not unfreeze aid until Ukraine reaches a settlement.

Trump also criticized Zelensky, claiming the Ukrainian leader has not shown enough gratitude for the billions in US aid already provided. He insisted that he was tougher on Russia than any previous president but remained uncertain about Ukraine’s future sovereignty.

The US and Ukrainian delegations are set to meet in Saudi Arabia on March 11 to discuss a possible peace framework. However, Trump has made it clear that Ukraine must be willing to make territorial compromises before the US resumes its support.

With the war raging on, Trump’s controversial stance raises serious questions about Ukraine’s future and America’s role in the conflict.
