Trump Warns Iran Has Not Agreed To Nuclear Inspections Or End Uranium Work

President Donald Trump said on Friday that Iran has not agreed to allow nuclear inspections or stop enriching uranium. He made the statement while traveling on Air Force One and described the situation as serious and unresolved.

Trump said he believed Iran’s program had been permanently set back but warned that Tehran might restart it elsewhere. He added that the U.S. would not allow Iran to resume its nuclear activities without consequences.

“I would think they’d have to start at a different location. And if they did start, it would be a problem,” Trump said.

The International Atomic Energy Agency said it pulled its inspectors out of Iran following joint U.S. and Israeli strikes. The agency has not been able to return to the bombed facilities despite repeated efforts.

Iran Cuts IAEA Ties As Trump Doubts Future Of Nuclear Inspections

Trump plans to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House to discuss Iran and a possible ceasefire in Gaza. He confirmed that Iran has made no agreements regarding inspections or uranium enrichment.

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has ordered a halt in cooperation with the IAEA. This followed the Iranian parliament’s approval of a bill cutting ties with the agency. Iran says the decision defends national sovereignty.

Iran has long denied seeking nuclear weapons and claims its program is for civilian use. However, recent attacks on its facilities and enriched uranium stockpile have created further tensions.

IAEA chief Rafael Grossi said Iran has not formally confirmed the suspension. Still, inspectors have not been allowed back. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called Grossi’s inspection request meaningless and politically motivated.

Trump said he would not accept Iran restarting its program in any location. He stressed that Iranian officials want to negotiate but must accept inspections and stop enrichment.
